Living in Germany | Missing Family | One with emotions | Down Sides
Hello Guys,
There are two sides of a coin, Heads and Tails. If you want the coin, you have to accept both the sides. You can not only get Heads or Tails alone. Similarly, after coming here in Germany, one does not only feel good things; there are some bad feelings and experiences he/she has to tolerate simultaneously.
As I stated earlier there are many positive aspects of studying here like, great education, international exposure, learning about new culture, meeting new people, independence, future with big bucks etc.
And if I narrate the downfalls then there are few, like more responsibilities, stress about studies; and above all the biggest one: Missing everything; country, food, culture, family, friends, habits(seems strange but yes!!), festivals.. Everything.
These disadvantages are not as small as it seem like. When I was in India I did not have time to appreciate or even think about it. But after coming here and spending some time over here, I came to know that these are the biggest things that anyone can have.
Isn't it always like that?! We don't actually value the things when those are with us..
Greatest example is street food. What??!! Yeah.. Street food. Here I don't get it anymore. Pakoda, Samosa, Pani Puri, Ghughra, Dal Pakwan, Vada Pav, Dabeli and many other things. I didn't appreciate it too much when I was in India.. but here I got to know the amount of joy it used to give me. And I really miss that Pakoda vale chacha whose Pakodas and Ghughra were out of the world. My mother didn't like my love for street food; because she knows that those oily little monsters can affect my health.(I knew it too!!). So she didn't approve my relationship with street food. And at the end, me and street food got separated. Sad love story. Lol.
Okey, now let's talk about what I really care about: I am majorly missing my family. They say it right:
It is not like I did not value my family when I was back there. I always valued and prioritized them. But now, as I am separated from them, I have more reasons to adore, cherish and respect my family. They have always stood by me and encouraged me in every decisions that I made. Even they helped me taking important decisions of my life. They taught me how to laugh at my own failures and move ahead. They taught me how to celebrate my success and think about the future at the same time. They helped me financially, emotionally, morally and in many manners, one can only think about. Family: really an admirable concept by God. Thanks and cheers for that.
And at the center of the family you have your Parents. They are God. Aren't they? Only people in the world who can never ever think bad for you. No matter what happens. Their intentions will always be to make you happy. That's it. You can never thank them enough. God had made this world; the mountains, rivers, sky, earth, creatures, animals, complicated human body, human nature and what not?! But he really impressed me with this creation called Parents. One of the biggest reasons why I believe in God.
Ok. So serious and philosophical. But I really missed them. Couldn't control.
What I miss other than this? My friends and their crazy minds. I miss friends from my college, school, neighborhood and others places. I might not be in contact with them on daily basis(or weekly!!) but I really miss them. I will not get even passing marks when it come to calling my friends regularly. I am a bad communicator on phone. Sorry guys. I will try to cope up.
I want to thank my little and very talented sister Ruju, who helped me for my last post( See, family.. I told you!!). She suggested me the topic of my last post and gave me one more reason to write this one. This one of course go to my family and especially my parents.
And now; just so you know, I didn't have any love interest there. So nothing to worry about in that department. Happily single. ; )) No. Wait.. Street food. How can I forget!! We will reunite when I come to India. Love you!!
Advise for future students:
Bring photos of your loved ones in hard copy, it will definitely help up to some extent. Thanks to technology, now we can video call them and see their face. When you reach here, promise yourself that you will talk at least once in a day with your parents or loved ones. It will help in many ways you can't even think. It can work as a stress buster in your stressful world. You might not believe me now, but you will feel it when you try it.
Jai Shree Krishna.

Jai Shree Krishna.
I will be there in the month of September. So, for me biggest take away from this post is that I have to start eating street food as much as I can in these remaining 3-4 months because anyways I will miss them once I will land there.

Hello Mohit,
DeletePlease keep that in mind that I have also written about Family and Friends. They should be your first priority. So, enjoy the food with your loved ones. Not alone. And also, please take care of your health.
I wish you all the best for your future.
Thanks
Jai Shree Krishna.
