First week in Germany | Study in Germany | Part 3

Hello Guys,
Sorry for the delay.
First week in Aachen. Excited. Scared. Curious. Amazed. Confused. All at the same time. Too much  to swallow and very less to omit.
As my classes were starting in October, I had only one agenda for whole week: FIND ACCOMMODATION. I had nowhere to go after 7 days, as I have to vacant my Airbnb home. The place was already booked by some new tenants coming afterwards, so there was no chance for me to extend that period, even if I agree to pay more.
And I must tell you that, it is so hard for an international student to find a good accommodation here in Aachen and in most of all other cities in Germany. I tried for months. I started to search for the accommodation in June-July, for the month of October. Still no success till end of the September. In student dorm, you have to register at least before 6 months to clear the waiting list.
There is one application called Wg-gesucht, which has most of the listings and in that also, when you show interest in 20 places, you get reply from 1 or 2 guys. Then you fix an appointment, you visit the place, they ask you some questions(Kind of interview), you think, whether the offer is good for you or not(not really; you don't have much options, take whatever you get. lol) and then you get the place.
Meanwhile, as I told earlier, I was getting familiar with this new land and this wonderful city. The university had arranged a 3 hour seminar for introducing Germany to new students. It was really fun and informative. We were 10-15 people. I made two really good friends over there. Qian and Ika. With Ika and her friends, I had cultural dinner parties several times, in which I cook Indian food and they cook their Taiwanese food.(yes!! I can cook). Nice. I bought new Sim Card, visited supermarkets, cafe, restaurants etc., ate food which I brought with me from India. I would recommend to bring some food with you specially if you are vegetarian.
All of these was going on, with some fears in mind. I had fear of breaking small laws accidentally, like, in India, you can cross the roads whenever you want(or whenever you can manage to stop the vehicles!!) here you have to wait for the green man on signal. I did not know that. Like this, there might be some laws which I don't know and break accidentally. With this fear, of course the biggest one was what would I do if I don't find accommodation.
So, let's come back to that, I had an appointment (lucky me. lol) in that week. I had the appoint in the evening at 6. Since I had nothing to do, I reached there at 5.45 pm but did not go inside. After 2-3 minutes, other person came. He had appointment of 5.30, but he was late. Now, at exact 6.00 pm, I went in and the landlords were sitting with that guy and they were discussing terms. Damn. My only chance was blown. But now, as I look back I thank god for not getting that house. Because I have a way better place than that. Also, it was far from my university. But that time, I felt so bad.
Next morning, I got other appointment at 12.00 in noon. And I went there at 11.50 pm and rang the bell. I did not wait for 10 more minutes, keeping the previous experience in mind. I saw the house. Perfect. Nice location, nice big room, with all the facilities and much more favorable conditions. Now I was thanking god for not letting me the previous one. There are three rooms, in one there was one Polish guy and otherone was Arabic guy. I was getting the room from Czech guy. Pretty International situation. Here, they interviewed me and said yes. And I signed the contract immediately. Yeay. I got perfect one. As I was going to be homeless in 5 days, and there was one week in between from starting the contract, they allowed me to sleep in the Drawing rooom for free in that week. Again, thank you God!!
Everything was shorted.
So, what I learned from this incident was, the God always have better plans for you. It's ok to panic in between, I mean you can't help it. You are not expected to be perfect Yogi or Guru or something. But, above all, what is important, Never ever loose faith in Almighty's plans in a long way. He is way more better planner than you.
